He/ She will have knowledge of current design software and is skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams at our company, the graphic designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design layout for various projects.Graphic Designer ResponsibilitiesDeveloping concepts by studying relevant information and materials.Coordinating with internal clients, internal sales, Print vendors, and colleagues as necessary.Communicating with clients about layout and design.Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for various project deliverables.Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.Here's what you'll needGraphic Designer RequirementsBachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or a similar disciplineMinimum 5+ years experience as a graphic designer or in a related fieldDemonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolioAn eye for visual compositionAnalytical and problem-solving skillsEffective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlinesExperience with computer-aided design.Desire to continue to grow the skill set with ongoing education and training

Required Software Skills

Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), SketchUp and Microsoft OfficeExperience in Sketching will be beneficialAt Jacobs we value people.
