Graphic and Web Designer

Client is a Hyderabad-based publishing house specialising in academic and educational content. Role Overview: We are seeking a Creative and Detail-Oriented Graphic Designer to join our design team. The role involves creating, reviewing, and finalizing the visual layout and design of academic and educational books. The ideal candidate will have strong design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with editorial and academic teams to produce visually engaging and print-ready publications. Key Responsibilities: Design and layout of academic and educational books for print and digital platforms. Work on cover designs, illustrations, infographics, charts, and page compositions. Ensure consistency in fonts, colors, images, and overall aesthetics of the publications. Collaborate with content strategists, editors, and academic teams to finalize manuscripts. Prepare and review files for print readiness, ensuring correct alignment, resolution, and formatting. Edit and enhance images, diagrams, and illustrations as required. Maintain design templates and style guides for brand consistency. Suggest creative ideas to improve the reader’s experience and visual engagement. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field. Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer in publishing, print media, or related industries. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW (or similar software). Strong understanding of typesetting, layouts, and color theory. Familiarity with preparing print-ready files and publishing workflows. Attention to detail with an ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in educational or academic publishing. Knowledge of digital publishing and eBook design. Illustration or creative art skills will be an added advantage.
