Job Title: Head of IPP (Independent Power Producer) / Merger & Acquisition

Job Summary

Head of IPP/Merger & Acquisition

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales Leadership

  • Generate and qualify business leads for solar, wind, hybrid, and other renewable projects
  • Conduct customer visits, negotiate with stakeholders (bankers, CAs, off-takers), and close sales agreements
  • Prepare and present techno-commercial offers, coordinating with cross-functional teams (CFT) for customized solutions.

2. Financial & Commercial Management

  • Achieve

    100% approval rate

    on cost/MW targets for solar, wind, hybrid, BOP, and DREB projects.
  • Secure and finalize Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other sales contracts.
  • Monitor project economics, ensuring alignment with budget and profitability goals.

3. Market Expansion & Strategic Growth

  • Maximize

    market share

    (measured quarterly) through aggressive business development.
  • Drive mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to expand the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
  • Target

    new clients per quarter

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with industrial, commercial, and institutional clients.
  • Ensure high

    customer satisfaction

    to secure repeat orders.
  • Represent the company in regulatory discussions, industry conferences, and investor meetings.

5. Operational Excellence & Team Development

  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring timelines and KPIs are met.
  • Conduct

    weekly KPI reporting

    on lead generation, conversion rates, and project milestones.
  • Enhance team capabilities through

    2 training sessions/quarter

    and knowledge-sharing on market trends.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:(Check and Add Qualification)

    Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: :(Check and Add Qualification)

    • 15+ years in renewable energy IPP projects, with a proven track record in

      sales closure (MW targets)

      M&A

    • Expertise in

      PPA negotiation

      , project finance, and stakeholder management.
    • Familiarity with solar, wind, hybrid technologies and emerging markets.

    • Strong financial modeling, negotiation, and strategic planning.
