Job Description

Post journal entries Record all recurring and ad-hoc entries to reflect financial activity.
Finalize trial balance Ensure completeness and accuracy of all ledger postings.
Perform account reconciliations Reconcile key balance sheet and P&L accounts.
Review and validate accruals Confirm accuracy of expense and revenue accruals.
Analyze variances Investigate material fluctuations and document explanations.
Prepare financial reports Generate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
Ensure GAAP compliance Validate entries and disclosures against accounting standards.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams Align with AP, AR, Treasury, and FP&A for inputs.
Validate intercompany transactions Confirm balances and resolve mismatches across entities.
Follow internal control protocols Use checklists and sign-offs to ensure audit readiness.
Lock the accounting period Close the books in ERP once validations are complete.
Support management review Share summaries, respond to queries, and provide insights.
Maintain documentation Archive reconciliations, reports, and supporting files.
Participate in ad-hoc projects Contribute to audits, system enhancements, and process improvements.
Align with US EST time zone Ensure availability during Onshore review hours (8 AM 5 PM EST).

QUALIFICATION

B. Com/MBA in accounting, finance, or related field
Qualified CMA/CA/CFA

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3-6 years of tax experience, focused on tax compliance and tax return preparation.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Chartered Accountant or Chartered Accountant eligible preferred
Solid understanding of U.S. sales and use tax preferred but not required.
Experience with insurance is a plus but not required .
