Required Qualifications & Skills
Masters degree (preferred) or Bachelors degree in GIS, Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Science, Wildlife Science, or a related field Proven experience in GIS analysis and cartographic design Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS; familiarity with ArcGIS Pro desirable) Experience working with ecological or landscape-level spatial datasets is an advantage Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple team members Overview We are seeking a GIS Consultant on an urgent basis to support the preparation of high-quality maps for the upcoming Right of Passage state corridor reports The consultant will work closely with the project team to ensure that spatial data is accurately processed, analysed, and visualized as per publication standards Key Responsibilities Develop, up , and finalize corridor maps for state-level Right of Passage reports Process spatial datasets, including wildlife corridors, land use/land cover, administrative boundaries, and field-verified data Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the mapping guidelines established for the publication Coordinate with project leads to incorporate feedback and make iterative refinements Maintain organized GIS data layers, metadata, and map outputs Deliver publication-ready maps in required formats (eg PDF, TIFF, shapefiles) Deliverables State-specific corridor maps finalized and publication-ready Up GIS datasets, legends, metadata, and source documentation Additional corridor maps for other states, if required during the consultancy period Timeline 4 months: to
