Position: Jr. Cartographer (GIS)

Number of working hours: 9 ( Including 1 Hour Break)

Number of working days: 6 days

Shift Timing: Hiring for DAY AND NIGHT Shifts.

Required Experience - 0 to 1 year of experience.

**Training will be provided.

Budget for the candidates having relevant work experience and the required academic qualification:

17500 to 19500 per month CTC ( Night Shift)

About Product:

SiteRecon is the Amazon + Google Docs combination for maps. Users place an order to create a map. State-of-the-art AI does our data delivery with a humans-in-the-loop pipeline. This becomes the basemap to create survey notes, operations plans, cost estimates, and so on.

About the Market:

Although our technology applies to many applications especially related to the site-based operations industry, our Primary market is the landscaping industry in the United States, Canada, and Australia. The combined size of Industry in these 3 countries alone makes up a staggering $140B.

We are looking for individuals who have done graduation in Geo informatics Science, and also have an experience of about 0 to 1 year of experience with expertise in GIS software i.e. QGIS/ArcGIS to fill the position at Futuresafe Technologies. Exposure to IT/Software start-ups /industries will be an added advantage

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and update digital maps and spatial data using QGIS.
• Perform digitization of geographic features from satellite imagery, aerial photography, and other data sources.
• Ensure accuracy and precision in map creation, maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate geospatial data for various projects and reports.
• Perform data conversion and analysis, transforming paper maps into digital formats.
• Develop, maintain, and optimise geodatabases for efficient data management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve GIS-related issues, ensuring smooth workflow.
• Stay updated with advancements in GIS technologies and incorporate them into the work process.
• Flexibility to adapt and manage within a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
• History of teamwork and willingness to support the team to get the job done.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Cartography, GIS, or related field.
• Basic experience in GIS mapping and digitization, with strong proficiency in ArcGIS/QGIS.
• Proven experience in digitising geographic features and working with georeferenced imagery.
• Familiarity with GIS data formats and data management.
• Experience with spatial analysis, map projections, and coordinate systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cartographic work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
