Geologist with Experience in Hydropower Projects

• Lead geological and geotechnical investigations for dams, tunnels, surge shafts, and underground caverns.
• Should be well versed with RMR and Q-system for rock mass classification.
• Provide construction-phase geological support, including face mapping, rock mass classification, and excavation recommendations.
• Prepare and review geological reports, drawings, and cross-sections for design validation and regulatory compliance.
• Well versed with software viz. MS Office, AutoCAD, DIPS.
• Assess geological hazards such as slope instability, fault zones, and groundwater inflow.
• Supervise drilling, core logging, and in-situ testing during site investigations.
• Monitor geological conditions during excavation and suggest mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across design engineering centers and construction sites.
• Continuously monitor construction methods on-site and adjust as necessary after discussion with team to resolve challenges, improve efficiency, or address unforeseen issues.
• Participate in tender preparation within defined deadlines, understanding customer requirements, preparing presentations.
• Periodic site visits for discussion & co-ordination with the project team.
• Interaction with relevant vendors and evaluation of their technical proposals.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
• Keep a record of construction process changes and lessons learned from practical experience
• Maintain comprehensive records of document & drawing revisions, approvals, and any changes to the project scope.
• Prepare technical reports, including site assessments, and post-project analysis.
