Generative AI Engineer

Stage: Early-stage tech startup working on AI-powered enterprise workflows

About the role:

We are looking for an AI/ML Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to help build and scale intelligent automation tools for enterprise use-cases. You will work on end-to-end development of AI systems — from experimentation to production deployment — and contribute to core engineering decisions as part of a small, fast-moving team.

Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize LLM-powered features, agents, and APIs.
• Develop robust data processing and extraction pipelines for unstructured documents.
• Work with embeddings, vector databases, RAG, and model evaluation frameworks.
• Contribute to backend and infrastructure components of ML systems.
• Collaborate closely with the founder to iterate rapidly on product features.
• Own prototypes from idea → PoC → production.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in Machine Learning, GenAI, or ML Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow or LLM frameworks.
• Hands-on work with LLM APIs, vector stores, RAG, or agentic frameworks.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
• Ability to ship fast in a startup environment with ownership and autonomy.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with OCR, PDF parsing, or unstructured text pipelines.
• Exposure to model fine-tuning or evaluation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Interest in enterprise automation or workflow engineering.
