General Manager - Operations

As the General Manager of the new ecommerce startup, you will play a pivotal role in leading and scaling the business. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and executing strategic plans to drive business growth, increase market share, and enhance customer experience. - Overseeing day-to-day operations such as inventory management, order fulfillment, customer service, and logistics. - Leading, managing, and mentoring a team to foster a positive and productive work environment. - Managing financial aspects by developing budgets, monitoring performance, and ensuring profitability. - Collaborating with the marketing team to execute campaigns, optimize online sales, and build partnerships. - Ensuring a seamless customer experience from browsing to post-purchase support. - Curating and expanding the product range by working closely with artists and suppliers. - Implementing compliance and risk management strategies to adhere to regulations and mitigate risks. - Utilizing technology to enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement while staying updated on industry trends. Qualifications required for this role: - Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. - Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in e-commerce or retail. Startup experience is a plus. - Skills: Strong leadership, team management, business strategy development, financial management, and analytical skills are essential. Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and digital marketing is necessary. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for art with an eye for quality and design are required.
