General Manager Operations

As the General Manager Operations at our spinning mill with 60,000 spindles in Coimbatore, you will be responsible for leading and managing the entire unit operations. With a qualification of DTT / BE Textile and over 20 years of experience in the spinning mill industry, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operational and financial performance of the unit. In this challenging role, you will be expected to meet high-quality and delivery standards set by customers while continuously improving internal efficiency in terms of cost, productivity, and employee engagement. Your key responsibilities will include identifying and executing improvement projects to enhance quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale among employees. You will provide manufacturing expertise to the production team, ensuring the implementation of cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives through process changes. Conceptualizing and implementing projects for process re-engineering, technology absorption, and expansion will be essential to drive growth and deliver quality products to customers within the expected timeline. As a proactive problem-solver, you will lead and drive both people and processes, building trust, credibility, and transparency across stakeholders. Your ability to mobilize resources effectively and manage quality, cost, and manufacturing processes will be critical to achieving operational excellence. Accountability will be a key aspect of your role, as you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. Your key skills and competencies should include a strong understanding of company culture, competency listing, quantitative strategic analysis, and financial assessment knowledge, as well as proficiency in managing complex budgets, cost management, communication, presentation, and people management skills.
