Role Summary : The General Manager/Deputy General Manager Accounts & Finance will lead the company finance and accounting functions, ensuring strong financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic support to the business. The incumbent will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, audit, cash flow, working capital management, and financial planning and analysis, with a strong focus on team leadership and stakeholder communication. Key Responsibilities : 1. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per Ind AS and statutory norms. Ensure accurate and timely closure of books of accounts. Manage financial MIS, dashboards, and variance analysis reports for management review. 2. Audit & Compliance Coordinate internal, statutory, and tax audits; ensure resolution of audit findings. Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards (Ind AS, IGAAP), SOPs, DOP, and all regulatory guidelines. Handle related party transactions and ensure necessary board/committee approvals. 3. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance Oversee direct and indirect tax functions including GST, TDS, income tax filings, and assessments. Attend tax hearings, manage litigation matters in coordination with advocates. Ensure proper availment of Input Tax Credits (ITC) under GST. 4. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the preparation of Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Drive rolling forecasts and scenario planning with cross-functional inputs. Monitor budget vs. actual performance and flag variances with detailed analysis. 5. Treasury & Banking Operations Manage cash flows, fund flow planning, and treasury operations. Handle banking relationships, loan documentation, and negotiations with financial institutions. Optimize working capital through AR/AP management and inventory control. 6. Accounts Receivable & Payable Ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and regular AR reconciliations. Monitor vendor payments, ensure compliance with MSME guidelines, and optimize procurement costs. 7. Strategic Support & Business Insights Support pricing, margin analysis, and commercial evaluations. Provide financial insights to support investment decisions and business growth. 8. System & Process Improvement Oversee ERP/accounting software implementation and usage (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally). Drive automation and digitization initiatives to improve process efficiency. 9. Leadership & Team Management Lead, train, and mentor the finance and accounts team to enhance capabilities. Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and ensure team alignment with business objectives. 10. Stakeholder Management Liaise with auditors, consultants, tax authorities, banks, suppliers, and customers. Communicate key financial insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Required Skills & Qualifications : Minimum 10-20 years of post-qualification experience Strong expertise in FP&A, budgeting, taxation, audits, and regulatory compliance. Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel/financial modeling. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and business acumen.
