PCB Supervisor

Job Role

The PCB Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the entire PCB and SMT production line. This includes ensuring smooth operations, maintaining quality standards, managing manpower, and coordinating with various departments to meet production and delivery targets. The role requires hands-on experience with electronic components and manufacturing best practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Assembly Operations

• Supervise PCB/SMT assembly processes, with in-depth knowledge of electronics and SMD components.
• Ensure smooth execution of PCB fitting, harnessing, wiring, and electronic component assembly.
• Handle PCBs and SMTs with care to avoid damage or defects.
• Supervise shop floor activities while coordinating with Quality, Testing, and Engineering departments.
• Ensure alignment with production schedules and compliance with quality standards.

2. Process & Quality Management

• Implement and monitor compliance with 5S, Kaizen, 7 QC tools, KANBAN, JIT, and CAPA methodologies.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to reduce rejection and rework.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, assembly checklists, production records, and work instructions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process issues.

3. Manpower & Resource Management

• Plan and allocate manpower according to daily/weekly production plans.
• Train new operators and provide guidance to improve skill levels and efficiency.
• Optimize manpower and machine utilization; reduce idle time and inefficiencies.

4. Material & Inventory Control

• Monitor material consumption and control WIP stock levels.
• Ensure effective use of old inventory to minimize wastage.
• Coordinate with stores, PPC team

5. Reporting & Coordination

• Ensure timely delivery of production targets by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare regular reports on Production performance, issues, and process improvements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience:

  3 - 8 years in electronics manufacturing, preferably in PCB/SMT assembly and supervision.

• Qualification:

  Diploma or B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of SMT processes, PCB handling, and line operations.
• Well-versed in quality tools and methodologies (5S, Kaizen, 7 QC tools, etc.).
• Proficient in ERP systems, MS Word, and Excel.
