Plant Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Financial Management & Reporting

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing for the plant.
• Deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet, variance analyses, and KPI reporting.
• Own plant-level forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Monitor working capital (inventory, payables, receivables) and drive improvements.

2. Cost Accounting & BOM/Process Controls

• Oversee standard costing, absorption costing, and variance analysis (PPV, labor, overhead, yield, scrap).
• Validate and continuously improve cost accuracy for:
• PCBA manufacturing
• Power module assembly
• Inverter system assembly
• Testing & calibration processes
• Conduct periodic BOM reviews in collaboration with engineering and supply chain.
• Ensure accurate routing, cycle times, machine hours, and labor standards.

3. Manufacturing Performance & Operational Support

• Partner with plant head and operations team to analyze:
• OEE, throughput, and capacity utilization
• Material consumption variances
• Scrap, rework, warranty, and quality cost trends
• Identify cost-saving and productivity improvement opportunities.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (Kaizen, Six Sigma).

4. Capital Expenditure & Project Finance

• Manage financial evaluation of capex projects: automation, line expansions, test equipment, SMT lines, etc.
• Conduct ROI, NPV, payback analysis and post-implementation reviews.
• Monitor capital budgets and track assets through completion.

5. Inventory Management & Controls

• Ensure robust inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical stock audits.
• Strengthen internal controls around warehousing, WIP tracking, component consumption, and scrap disposal.
• Work with supply chain to optimize safety stocks and procurement planning.

6. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, statutory requirements, and plant-level SOPs.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors for plant finance audits.
• Maintain strong controls around procurement, material movements, and production reporting.

7. Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Lead and develop the plant finance team.
• Act as financial business partner to plant head, engineering, supply chain, and quality managers.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in electronics, power electronics, or inverter/solar/EMS/PCBA manufacturing preferred.
• Strong command of SAP/Oracle/Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems.
• Expertise in cost accounting and manufacturing controls.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
