Job Description

Specialist / SME General Ledger (R2R)

What you will do in this role


  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing activities for assigned entities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Conduct in-depth Balance Sheet, P&L, and Trial Balance reviews, performing monthly flux analysis and providing clear explanations for key variances.

  • Safeguard financial integrity by ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards, as well as governance and risk management frameworks.

  • Coordinate and review intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring proper eliminations and timely resolution of differences.

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing required documentation, and resolving audit queries within agreed timelines.

  • Partner closely with AP, AR, Corporate Finance, Tax, and other stakeholders to manage financial interdependencies and resolve accounting issues.

  • Identify and implement process improvements across R2R activities, driving standardization, automation, and best-practice documentation, while acting as an SME to support and guide the wider team.


Who You Are


  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2 4 years of post-qualification experience in General Accounting and Financial Reporting, preferably in multinational organizations or Big 4 firms.

  • Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting and analysis, including Balance Sheet, P&L, Trial Balance reviews, and monthly variance / flux analysis.

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end R2R processes, including month-end close, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Exposure to inventory and lease accounting is a strong advantage.

  • Proven track record in process optimization, with the ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive execution.

  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong decision-making skills, execution focus, and a global mindset.

  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and regions, including leading or mentoring team members where required.
