GE Relay & SAS Site Support Engineer

SCS is one of the leading partners for GE SAS products and protection relays, and we are actively looking for a mid-level professional with hands-on project execution experience to join our team for Substation Automation and Protection projects.

Role Overview

This role is ideal for engineers who have already executed GE relay commissioning jobs and are comfortable working at substations. The candidate must have working knowledge of Omicron relay test kits and should be confident in testing, configuring, and integrating GE MiCOM/Agile relays into SAS environments.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning of GE MiCOM & Agile protection relays (e.g., P14, P30, P40 series)

Protection logic testing, relay settings, fault simulation and troubleshooting

IEC 61850-based GSE/Goose configuration, SCADA signal testing, and SAS integration

Relay wiring validation, CT/VT checks, and end-to-end signal testing

On-site coordination with SCADA teams, utilities, and EPC partners

Preparing relay test reports, setting files, and SAT documentation

Key Qualifications

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics Engineering

2–5 years of experience in GE relay commissioning and SAS site execution

Must be proficient in using Omicron CMC relay test kits

Strong understanding of protection schemes, substation wiring, and IEC 61850

Willingness to travel and stay at project sites
