Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and technically strong GCP Lead to join our Global Technology team at Fossil Group . This role is responsible for leading cloud-based architecture design, implementation, automation, and optimization efforts on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . You will serve as a technical mentor and thought leader, enabling the business with modern, scalable cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end GCP-based solutions. Architect cloud-native data pipelines, applications, and infrastructure using GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Airflow and Cloud Composer. Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, data, security, and operations to align cloud solutions with business goals. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on GCP best practices and automation. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Stackdriver, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, or similar tools. Oversee performance tuning, cost optimization, and security hardening of GCP workloads. Drive continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Terraform, Jenkins, GitOps, etc. Ensure compliance with cloud security standards, access control policies, and audit requirements. Participate in architectural reviews, sprint planning, and roadmap discussions. Manage escalations, troubleshoot cloud issues, and ensure uptime and service reliability. Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 712 years of total experience, with 3+ years in GCP-focused roles and prior leadership/architect experience. Hands-on experience with GCP services : BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Airflow, Cloud Composer . Strong development background in Python or Java , with experience building data pipelines and APIs. Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform , Deployment Manager , or similar tools. Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE). Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines , version control (Git), and Agile delivery methodologies. Familiarity with data security, encryption, identity management, and compliance frameworks. Excellent problem-solving skills, system-level thinking, and performance tuning expertise. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
