GCP DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Senior GCP DevOps Engineer (Individual Contributor)

Job Summary:

We are hiring a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer (Individual Contributor) with strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is strictly IC-focused—candidates with Architect or Lead-only experience will not be considered.

The ideal candidate should be deeply involved in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, containerization, and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build
• Deploy and manage applications on GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana
• Ensure cloud security best practices (IAM, VPC, firewall rules, secrets management)
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability
• Work closely with development teams for smooth releases

Mandatory Skills:

• 8+ years of hands-on GCP DevOps experience
• Strong expertise in GCP services (GCE, GKE, IAM, VPC, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL)
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Cloud Build
• Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker
• Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Scripting: Bash / Shell / Python
• Linux system administration
• Production support experience

Important Notes:

• This is a Core Developer / Individual Contributor role
• Architect / Lead profiles will NOT be suitable
• Candidates must be hands-on and execution-focused

Preferred:

• GCP Certifications (Associate / Professional)
• Experience in high-availability and production environments
