GCP Data engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In this role, you will design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing data pipelines, ensuring smooth data orchestration across systems. You will work closely with data analysts, scientists, and business teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and GCP native services.
• Design and develop RESTful or FastAPI services for data processing and integration.
• Automate data ingestion from multiple sources and optimize pipeline performance.
• Work with GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Ensure data reliability, scalability, and compliance through best engineering practices.

Must-Have Skills

• 5 years of hands-on experience with Python (pandas, PySpark, or related frameworks).
• 3 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions).
• Strong SQL programming experience.
• Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs or FastAPI.
