GCP Data Engineer

Company: Comfort Click https://www.comfortclick.co.uk/ We Comfort Click are looking for a talented Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines that support our analytics infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for ingesting data from a wide range of marketing and e-commerce sources, staging it in Google Cloud Storage (GCS), and transforming it into analytics-ready formats within Big Query. This role is critical to empowering our teams with reliable, timely, and actionable data. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage robust ETL/ELT pipelines, ingesting data from various sources into Google Cloud Storage (GCS) and subsequently loading it into Google Big Query. Use Apache Airflow, orchestrated via Google Cloud Composer, to schedule and automate workflows. Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation before loading into Big Query. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and accuracy. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Data) to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions. Maintain documentation for data pipelines, schemas, and system processes. Handle data ingestion from: Marketing channels: Google Ads, Meta Ads, Bing Ads, Klaviyo, Affiliate Networks, TikTok, Snapchat etc. Marketplaces: Amazon, eBay, Fruugo, Walmart, and others. Requirements 2-3 years of experience in a Data Engineering or related role. Proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation. Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially: Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Big Query, BQ Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer (Airflow). Hands-on experience building data pipelines from APIs and flat files to cloud-based storage and data warehouses. Solid SQL skills and understanding of data modeling best practices. Familiarity with data from marketing and e-commerce platforms. Nice to Have Experience with tools like Airbyte, Fivetran, or dbt. Familiarity with BI platforms such as Tableau, or Power BI.
