Data Engineer – Google Big Query

Job Summary:

· We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 3–6 years of experience in data integration, ETL, and analytics, specializing in Google BigQuery or SQL. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in SQL along with a solid understanding of data warehouse concepts. Experience in Python , Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and SAP BODS, will be considered an added advantage. MDM / DQ implementation knowledge is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and optimize BigQuery data models, queries, and pipelines.

· Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using IICS and BODS to integrate data from multiple sources.

· Implement and enforce data quality, transformation, and validation processes.

· Collaborate with business and analytics teams to define and deliver scalable data solutions.

· Optimize SQL queries and data storage for performance and cost efficiency.

· Support migration or integration projects involving BigQuery and other data platforms.

· Ensure data governance, documentation, and adherence to best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Atleast 2–4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or ETL development.

· Strong expertise in Google BigQuery and Advanced SQL.

· Proven experience with Informatica IICS and SAP BODS for ETL processes.

· Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, including star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling, and data pipelines.

· Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.

· Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems (GCP, AWS, or Azure) is a plus.

Nice-to-Have:

· Knowledge of DataOps or CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.

· Experience with API integrations, data lakes, or real-time streaming (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka).

· Basic understanding of data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
