Gammastack - Quality Analyst - eCommerce/Transactional Application Testing

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications to ensure quality and user satisfaction.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java / JavaScript / TestNG / Cucumber / Appium.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured and validate backend integration.
• Validate database operations by executing SQL queries (preferably PostgreSQL).
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track defects through the complete software development lifecycle.
• Participate in regression testing, UAT support, and release sign-offs.
• Ensure proper test planning, test case design, and defect reporting for every release cycle.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in testing eCommerce or transactional applications.
• Hands-on experience in web and mobile app testing.
• Experience with API testing and validation (REST, JSON, authentication methods).
• Good understanding of SQL queries and database testing (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Solid QA analytical and problem-solving mindset ability to trace issues across systems.
• Automation experience with Java / JavaScript, TestNG / Cucumber, and Appium for UI and API testing.
• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  

Bonus Skills

• Exposure to RabbitMQ or Kafka (message queue systems).
• Knowledge of Performance Testing using tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
