Game Design Intern

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)

1. Research & Justify

   – Analyze the market, identify trends, and build competitor matrices to validate new game ideas.

2. Game Ideation

   – Brainstorm, pitch, and prototype original concepts for new games and exciting features to upgrade our existing titles.

3. Level Design

   – Work hands-on in crafting engaging and balanced game levels, collaborating directly with fellow designers and developers.

4. GDD Ownership

   – Write, manage, and maintain Game Design Documents (GDDs) that clearly outline vision, mechanics, and user experience flows.

5. Quality Oversight

   – Collaborate with art and animation teams to ensure the highest standard of visual quality and game feel.

6. Trend Analysis

   – Stay ahead of evolving mobile, casual, and hypercasual game trends to bring timely and relevant ideas to the table.

7. Production Tracking

   – Monitor game development progress across all stages and ensure alignment with design goals.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

   – Work closely with artists, animators, engineers, writers, and analysts to bring ideas to life from concept to completion.

What We’re Looking For

• A deep love for games and strong opinions about what makes them fun
• Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Good understanding of gameplay loops, mechanics, and player psychology
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Familiarity with Figma, Unity (basics), or similar tools is a plus
• Experience in level design or prototyping (even as a hobby) is a big bonus
• Open to feedback, hungry to learn, and ready to iterate fast
