Job Description

Job Purpose:

To take complete ownership of the operation, maintenance coordination, and performance optimization of LNG-based furnaces (capacity range: 2 to 60 tons) used across forging and heat treatment lines, ensuring safety, energy efficiency, and production reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and control daily operations of all LNG-based furnaces to meet heating requirements of forging/heat treatment processes.
Monitor furnace temperatures, soak times, and thermal profiles to ensure uniform and controlled heating.
Optimize LNG consumption through process improvement, burner efficiency checks, and insulation audits.
Ensure proper start-up, shut-down, and safety interlocks of furnaces are in place and followed.
Coordinate with maintenance and instrumentation teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Maintain records of furnace operations, fuel consumption, and downtime analysis.
Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and environmental norms related to LNG handling and furnace operation.
Provide technical guidance to furnace operators and support training initiatives.
Support projects for furnace automation, energy conservation, and performance improvement.

Qualifications:

Education:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Thermal / Production Engineering
Experience:

Engineer/Sr. Engineer: 58 years in furnace operation (preferably gas-fired/LNG-based industrial furnaces) with exposure to large-scale forging or heat treatment operations
