Functional/Regression Tester

Role Overview: As a Functional/Regression Tester at The Marcom Avenue, you will be a key player in establishing and coordinating a robust testing process within a growing team. Your main duties will involve: Key Responsibilities: - Lead functional testing and Regression Testing, including the creation and maintenance of new tests. - Coach team members on testing techniques, ensuring efficient testing processes. - Develop test scenarios, assess new features, and validate their compliance with requirements. - Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to make decisions on production readiness. - Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-production testing. - Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities. - Conduct comprehensive testing after bug fixes and feature implementations. - Design and implement testing procedures for new and existing products to meet business requirements. - Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills. - Test Restful APIs using tools such as Postman or RestAssured. - Identify alternatives, create contingency plans, and adapt to changes quickly. - Excel in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple projects. - Utilize critical thinking, data organization, and presentation of metrics to internal stakeholders. - Convert manual test scenarios into automated test scripts through collaboration. - Apply QA methodologies and work within Agile and DevOps frameworks. Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of IT experience in software testing. - Ability to brainstorm test scenarios, consider various conditions, and effectively break functionalities. - Proficiency in API Testing for Restful APIs. - Track requirements to completion based on design and test cases. - Build and maintain strong relationships with IT and Business Stakeholders. - Strong analytical skills for investigating and resolving complex issues. - Hands-on experience in manual testing across various stages like SIT, UAT, and post-production release, with knowledge of SDLC and STLC. - Familiarity with Test and defect management tools like ALM. - Technical proficiency and readiness to overcome obstacles for the team. - Knowledge of automation, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, and a willingness to adapt to the organization's goals.,
