Job Overview

The Ministry of Defence is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to support and develop mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot), JSP, Python, and modern database systems. This is a secure, full-time role based in Shimla.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Java (Spring Boot), JSP, and Python.
• Create responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Manage databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB for storage, queries, and optimization.
• Collaborate with team members, including system analysts and cybersecurity personnel, to deliver secure and efficient applications.
• Ensure compliance with government IT and data security standards.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and assist with deployment.

Required Technical Skills

• Programming Languages: Java (Spring Boot), JSP, Python
• Front-End Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
• Frameworks & Tools: Spring Boot, Hibernate (optional), Git, REST APIs
• Additional Skills: Understanding of secure coding practices, debugging, and performance optimization

Educational Qualifications

• B.Tech (Computer Science/IT/Electronics) OR
• M.Sc in Information Technology or equivalent field
