We are looking for an experienced Fresh Food Manager – Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) to lead and manage our fresh produce category, ensuring superior quality, availability, and profitability.

Job Summary

The Fresh Food Manager – F&V will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end operations of the Fruits & Vegetables department. This includes procurement coordination, stock management, quality control, merchandising, team supervision, and achieving sales targets while minimizing wastage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) department.
• Ensure freshness, quality standards, and proper handling of produce at all times.
• Monitor stock levels, plan replenishment, and control shrinkage and wastage.
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for timely supply and best pricing.
• Implement effective product display, grading, and rotation (FIFO) practices.
• Lead, train, and supervise F&V staff to maintain high performance and hygiene standards.
• Drive department sales, promotions, and seasonal planning.
• Address customer queries and complaints related to fresh produce.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs.
• Prepare and review daily/weekly sales, wastage, and stock reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Fruits & Vegetables or Fresh Food operations in a supermarket or hypermarket.
• Strong knowledge of fresh produce handling, grading, storage, and wastage control.
• Proven ability to manage teams and achieve department targets.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, inventory systems, POS).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling high-volume F&V sections is an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

• Nadakavu, Calicut, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:
