Frontend Engineer (SDE -2)

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 3000000 - Rs 4000000 (ie INR 30-40 LPA)

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-performance, user-friendly frontend interfaces for new features and enhance the overall user experience across existing products.
• Adhere to and help shape software development best practices across the full development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and backend engineers to deliver efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of new and existing systems, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand user journeys and resolve critical user experience challenges.
• Take full ownership of product features—from ideation to release—including documentation, testing, and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, and contribute to high standards of engineering excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to continuously elevate the team's frontend capabilities.
  

Requirements:

• Strong analytical thinking and a quick learning ability.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• 2+ years of experience in frontend development.
• 2-3+ years of hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript, with a strong command of JavaScript fundamentals.
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux; knowledge of Vue or Angular is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, particularly with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Familiarity with modern bundling tools such as Webpack or Vite.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Strong team player who is comfortable giving and receiving feedback constructively.
• Exposure to advanced libraries such as three.js, konva.js, or Ant Design is a bonus.
• Passionate about building high-quality products and staying up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies.
