Job Summary:The OPD Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the Outpatient Department by coordinating patient flow, managing appointments, supporting consultants, and maintaining high standards of patient care and service delivery. Key Responsibilities:Coordinate daily OPD activities including patient registration, appointment scheduling, and queue management. Ensure patients are guided properly to respective consultation rooms and diagnostic areas. Support doctors and nursing staff by organizing patient records and required reports on time. Monitor waiting times and take necessary steps to enhance patient satisfaction. Coordinate with billing, pharmacy, diagnostics, and other support departments for seamless service. Handle patient queries, feedback, and escalate issues to management as required. Maintain OPD statistics and submit daily/weekly reports to the department head. Ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to hospital protocols within OPD premises. Qualifications & Skills:Graduate in any discipline (preferably healthcare or hospital management). 1–3 years of experience in hospital OPD or front-office coordination. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good organizational and multitasking ability. Basic computer proficiency (MS Office / HIS software).
