Job Description

As a Front Office Crew Member, your primary responsibility is to establish a friendly rapport with our guests, effortlessly connecting with travelers and embodying a warm and welcoming demeanor. You must possess exceptional organizational skills, maintaining efficiency even during high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrating a strong business acumen, you should be driven to maximize revenue and contribute to the overall success of the establishment. Reporting directly to the Property Manager, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team that upholds the Zostel spirit. Taking ownership of guest complaints, you are expected to engage with guests to instill a passion for independent travel. A comprehensive knowledge of the local city's cafes, bars, restaurants, art, and music scene is essential for providing guests with valuable recommendations and information. Your duties will include efficiently managing check-in and check-out processes, handling room reservations, modifications, and cancellations, as well as maintaining accurate records of room availability. Responding promptly to guest inquiries and requests, you must deliver exceptional customer service while utilizing property management software for bookings, check-ins, check-outs, and report generation. Collaborating with the housekeeping team, you will oversee room readiness, monitor inventory, and conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance. Adherence to company policies, including Fire Training, Health & Safety, and Food Hygiene protocols, is imperative for maintaining a safe and compliant environment. The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience in a front office hospitality setting and proficiency in property management software. A genuine passion for the hospitality industry and the youth travel market is highly desirable, along with fluency in English and an additional language.
