Freelance IT Asset & Depot Operations Technician

We are currently looking for an organized and detail-oriented Freelance Depot Technician to support our end client’s depot operations in Delhi.

The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day depot activities, including device handling, work order fulfillment, shipping, and accurate maintenance of Asset Management systems.

This role is critical to ensuring smooth depot operations, stock accuracy, and timely delivery of devices to end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular stock audits and update the Asset Management system accordingly.
• Monitor inventory levels, maintain accurate records, and report discrepancies.
• Respond to service tickets by picking, packing, and preparing devices for delivery or shipment.
• Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming devices and depot materials.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and organization of the depot/warehouse.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
• Inspect returned devices, identify hardware issues, and verify functionality.
• Perform device clean-up, reimaging, and preparation for restocking when required.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, data security standards, and procedures.
• Accurately document issues, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.

Requirements

• Previous experience in stock management, warehouse, or depot operations.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with inventory management tools and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Punctual, reliable, and professional.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or background in Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or CompTIA A+ (or equivalent).
