Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining The Finance Business & Technology (FBT) organization at bp as a Business Performance Senior Analyst within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. Your role will involve delivering business planning, performance management, and business partnering support for specific Business/Functions. You will work closely with onsite technical and finance teams across different geographies to develop and deliver insightful financial products that enable effective business financial performance management and support decision-making. Additionally, you will be responsible for contributing to the cost performance management agenda, supporting core FP&A processes, and maintaining a proactive business partnering relationship between finance and business teams. Key Responsibilities: - Performance Management: Prepare timely, accurate, and reliable financial and management information to support business decisions. Develop key messages, analysis, and insights for business performance leadership team discussions. - Business Partnering and Performance Insights: Build and maintain proactive business relationships with Business/Function Leadership teams. Support the Performance Management agenda, ensuring robust forecasts and delivery of MI analysis and commentary. - Actuals Analysis: Analyze monthly/quarterly actuals, highlight areas of performance variance, and suggest interventions. - Business Planning: Coordinate the long-term and quarterly planning process, analyze plan data, and prepare presentation material. - Joint Venture Management: Support local finance team in developing plans and Authorization for Expenditure (AFEs) for joint venture partners" approval. - Economic Evaluation: Perform economic analysis to evaluate financial viability of projects or scenarios. - Strategy & Planning: Support annual planning process, produce cost forecasts, and support ad-hoc strategic business decisions. - Continuous Improvement: Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities in performance management products. Qualifications Required: - Educational qualifications: Business/Finance or Engineering Subject area Degree level or equivalent. - Preferred education/certifications: Masters Degree or other qualification in a finance field e.g. MBA, CA, ICWA/Cost Accountants. - Minimum years of relevant experience: 5+ years of relevant post-degree experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. - Preferred experience: Experience within global, sophisticated, and matrix organizations, preferably within an Oil & Gas business or similar industries.,
