Founding Engineer – AI Systems

About AasvaaAasvaa is a deeptech startup building Manthaan, an AI Operating System, and Annant, a universal conversational interface that makes data interaction seamless across law, governance, and enterprises. We are part of NVIDIA Inception and have delivered pilots with government and enterprise clients.Responsibilities• Take full technical ownership of Manthaan & Annant development roadmap.• Design, build, and optimize AI-driven search, RAG pipelines, and conversational interfaces.• Work closely with the founding team to translate product vision into scalable architecture.• Integrate multimodal inputs (text, voice, video) and multilingual support.• Develop APIs and backend systems for enterprise & government deployment.• Ensure performance, security, and compliance of solutions.• Mentor junior developers and help grow the engineering team.Requirements• Strong experience in Python, ML/AI frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow), LLM fine-tuning, and RAG.• Hands-on experience with backend systems (Node.js/Django/FastAPI) and APIs.• Knowledge of search systems (Elasticsearch, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar).• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, or GPU clouds).• Prior work in chatbots, NLP, or conversational AI is a big plus.• Ability to work in a startup environment: fast-paced, ownership-driven, and innovative.Nice to Have• Experience in multilingual NLP (Indian languages a plus).• Interest in GovTech / LegalTech applications of AI.• Previous experience in an early-stage startup or as a founding engineer.What We Offer• Opportunity to lead core product development in a deeptech startup.• Work directly with the founders and be part of the founding tech team.• Equity/ESOP options along with salary.• High-impact work with global scalability.
