Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Founding Backend Engineer, based in Delhi, India, with the flexibility for some work from home. The Founding Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing the server-side logic of our polling platform. Day-to-day tasks include building APIs, optimizing database performance, ensuring system security, and collaborating closely with front-end developers. The engineer will also be involved in problem-solving, code reviews, and contributing to the overall system architecture.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java
• Experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Understanding of RESTful API design and development
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in a startup environment and knowledge of front-end technologies are a plus
