Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Founding Backend Engineer, based in Delhi, India, with the flexibility for some work from home. The Founding Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing the server-side logic of our polling platform. Day-to-day tasks include building APIs, optimizing database performance, ensuring system security, and collaborating closely with front-end developers. The engineer will also be involved in problem-solving, code reviews, and contributing to the overall system architecture. Qualifications Proficiency in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java Experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB Understanding of RESTful API design and development Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Familiarity with version control systems such as Git Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent team collaboration and communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience in a startup environment and knowledge of front-end technologies are a plus
