Job description Job Title: ITI Fitter Location: Koparkhairane Job Type: Full-Time Department: Warehouse/Engineering Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor/Engineering Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and qualified ITI Fitter to join our maintenance team. The ITI Fitter will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of Solar structures as well as machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and be able to work independently or as part of a team to ensure that all equipment is functioning efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Assembly and Installation: Assemble and install machinery, mechanical systems, and equipment based on technical drawings, specifications, and instructions. Fitting and Fabrication: Cut, shape, and fit various components and metal parts using tools such as grinders, saws, and welding machines. Testing and Calibration: Test and calibrate equipment after installation or repair to ensure proper functioning and safety. Documentation: Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repairs performed. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company and industry safety standards. Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of machinery into the manufacturing process. Qualifications: Education: ITI certification in Fitter trade or equivalent. Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprints, and technical drawings. Familiarity with tools and equipment used in fitting and assembly. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve mechanical issues. Attention to Detail: Ensure precision in fitting, alignment, and assembly work. Team Player: Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with colleagues in a team environment.
