As an experienced professional with a Master's degree in Food Science or Food Technology and over 10 years of industry experience, you possess expertise in various areas such as food science, product development, DPR preparation, quality assurance, food safety regulations, private sector engagement, and process engineering. Your strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills enable you to work effectively in diverse environments. In your role, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Designing and developing new food products, recipes, and food processing techniques that cater to community needs, with a focus on local ingredients, affordability, and nutritional value. - Implementing and monitoring food safety and quality management systems to ensure products meet safety standards, comply with regulations, and maintain high-quality standards. - Developing and refining food processing and manufacturing methods to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve the sustainability of food production. - Designing and evaluating food packaging solutions to prolong shelf life, preserve product quality, and minimize waste and environmental impact. - Staying informed about food industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices to incorporate innovative and accessible food solutions. Additionally, you will be required to provide technical guidance and training to farmers, food processors, and community groups on best practices in food handling, processing, and quality assurance.
