Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative/Executive to join our team for SILIGURI HQ Location. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in sales in FMCG Food Industry only, a strong understanding of the local market, and be willing to work both in the field and at our office location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Develop and implement robust sales strategies to achieve and exceed General Trade sales targets in the assigned territory.
  • Identify and onboard new distributors, wholesalers and retailers to expand distribution network. Identify business potential of retail markets in target area and lead DSMs in outlet identification and servicing of outlets and retail markets.
  • Coverage Plan Responsible for forming the coverage plan for the area to penetrate, retail markets to cover.
  • Achievement of Targets Responsible for driving overall secondary volume targets as per the intended product-mix
  • Secondary mind-set: Drive mind-set and procedures in team and channel-partners for outlet-wise secondary sales. Use available data and tools to facilitate this. Drive ways-of-working and processes as per secondary mind-set requirement.
  • Conduct regular market visits to gather insights, assess competitor activities and identify growth opportunities.
  • Operations management: Manage operations to ensure on-time order collection and door-step servicing in retail. This includes planning beats and PJPs, management of distributor infrastructure, managing collections etc.
  • Channel-partner Management: Manage Retail MT - distributor Ensure adherence SKU-wise requirement of closing stock. Drive accountability for credit. Ensure availability of required infrastructure and investment. Plan for primary sales of distributors.
  • BTL Activities: Responsible for channel-programs, and BTL-activations, and merchandizing.
  • Micro-marketing activities: With inputs from distributors and DSMs, design plans to counter competitions activity in the channel.
  • Team Handling: Strategic calls in territory-deployment, targeting of retail markets. Drive accountability on relevant parameters in team, and ensure work-discipline. Planning and analysis beat-wise, territory-wise DSMs-wise performance and potential.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in any subject.

Proven track record of 3-5 years in successful sales experience with a reputed company dealing with FMCG food products COVERING NORTH BENGAL INCLUDING SIKKIM & BHUTAN

Proven experience in FMCG – Food Sales, with a focus on General Trade Channels

Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.

Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies and strong understanding of the local market trends

Leadership and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Open to travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
