Floor Supervisor

Staff Management and Leadership:

• Supervising and coordinating staff: Assigning tasks and responsibilities, ensuring adequate coverage during shifts (scheduling), and monitoring performance.
• Training and development: Onboarding new employees and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance their skills and performance.
• Motivating and leading: Fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and inspiring staff to achieve sales or performance targets.
• Conflict resolution: Addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts or disciplinary issues in a timely and objective manner.

Operational Efficiency and Quality Control:

• Monitoring workflow: Ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently, making adjustments as needed to meet performance goals.
• Quality assurance: Upholding company standards for product/service quality, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the premises.
• Inventory management: Monitoring stock levels, assisting with restocking, arranging merchandise displays, and coordinating with other departments/vendors.

Customer Service and Safety:

• Ensuring excellent customer service: Setting a high standard for customer interactions, greeting guests, and building rapport to ensure a positive experience.
• Handling complaints: Promptly and professionally addressing and resolving customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
• Safety and security: Enforcing health and safety regulations, maintaining security systems, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and policies.

In essence, a floor supervisor ensures the bridge between strategic goals and daily execution, playing a vital role in both employee and customer satisfaction.

• Cash handling and reports: Overseeing cash handling procedures, making daily deposits, and preparing reports on sales performance, productivity, and operational issues for senior management.
