Industry: Deep Tech | IoT | Electronics | Edge Devices About the Role: Vanix Technologies is seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to develop and optimize firmware for BLE-based sensor nodes and gateway systems. This role is pivotal in building robust, low-power wireless communication firmware that performs reliably in real-world deployments. Key Responsibilities: Develop firmware for Nordic BLE nodes using Nordic SDK or Zephyr RTOS . Integrate BLE nodes with STM32 / ESP32 / Quectel (EC200/EG91) gateway controllers. Design and implement BLE communication stacks with custom services. Optimize for low power consumption , implement OTA updates , and ensure secure BLE connections . Implement and debug communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, MQTT, HTTP . Conduct performance tests and debug BLE-Gateway interactions using tools like logic analyzers and RF tools . Required Qualifications: Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and RTOS concepts . Hands-on experience with Nordic BLE stack (nRF52/53 series) and BLE 5.0 . Experience with Nordic SDK , Zephyr RTOS , and tools like SEGGER Studio , J-Link , and nRF Connect . Strong understanding of BLE advertising , connection states , bonding/security , and BLE device provisioning . Experience integrating Quectel modules and handling AT commands . Preferred Qualifications: Experience with BLE Mesh , Long Range , or Extended Advertising . Knowledge of hybrid wireless systems (e.g., BLE + Cellular + GNSS ). Exposure to field deployments or edge device analytics . Familiarity with cloud integration and backend data flows .
