Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and requirements.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of firmware to ensure reliability and performance.
Optimize firmware for resource-constrained environments.
Document design processes, code changes, and test results.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in firmware development.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to embedded systems.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and assembly language.
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal programming.
Familiarity with hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART) and protocols.
Skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with low-power design techniques.
Familiarity with debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
Understanding of cybersecurity principles as they relate to embedded systems.
