Financial Services Consultant

Role Overview: As a front-line member-facing position, your role involves handling daily financial transactions, analyzing members" needs, performing consultative selling for financial products, and ensuring a seamless onboarding and membership experience. It is crucial to support the credit union's mission, vision, and service standards with a high degree of integrity, compliance, and a strong focus on delivering exceptional member service. Key Responsibilities: - Teller Duties - Process various transactions and answer member account inquiries, posting transactions and maintaining member records. - Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts for accuracy. - Issue cashier's checks, money orders, and bank drafts. - Verify and reconcile daily transactions to maintain accurate records. - Proactively educate members on products and services. - Member Service Duties - Resolve member issues and problems, providing timely updates. - Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all member interactions. - Assist members with deposit accounts, business accounts, IRA and fiduciary transactions. - Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and report any suspicious activity. - Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and uphold integrity in all transactions. - Financial Sales Duties - Develop and maintain strong relationships with members, understanding their financial needs. - Perform consultative selling to offer personalized products and solutions. - Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive financial guidance. - Identify growth opportunities and cross-sell additional products or services. - Promote suitable financial products based on member needs. Qualifications Required: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and digital communication. - Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Thorough knowledge of Credit Union products and services. - Minimum one year of experience in the financial industry or related consultative sales role. - High school diploma or equivalent experience. Additional Company Details: The role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Flexibility in the schedule to meet organizational and membership needs is essential. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds at times is also required. Please note: The salary for this position ranges from $20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience.,
