Financial Controller - Trading Asset & SFT - Analyst

As a Financial Controller in the Finance team at our company, your role is critical in ensuring the financial integrity and robust controls across various JP Morgan legal entities and geographies. You will partner with different Controllers groups, Middle Offices, Operations, and Technology to validate the accuracy of the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet. Your responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and supporting business lines with performance reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with Financial/Legal entity Controllers groups to prepare & review financial statements - Research, escalate, and clear exceptions to the general ledger and interfacing systems - Perform monthly General ledger Reconciliation & Substantiation process - Adhere to regulatory reporting requirements during the month-end close process - Support business lines with performance reporting and query resolution - Ensure appropriateness of reference data for account hierarchies - Participate in user acceptance tests during system implementation/changes and other business initiatives Qualifications Required: - Good accounting and finance skills with knowledge of banking products - Ability to analyze numbers and understand data flows across ledger and reporting systems - Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and excel during enhanced demand situations The company prefers candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 2 years of experience. Basic knowledge of industry standards and regulations for US GAAP &/or IFRS Standards is desired. CA/MBAs with 1 year of relevant experience, especially in Controller roles, are also preferred. Additionally, familiarity with transformation/visualization products like Alteryx, Tableau, and UI Path would be an added advantage.,
