Role Overview

Finance Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with Indian GAAP / Ind AS.
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors to close audits on time.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Present financial performance, variance analysis, and forecasts to management.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Develop and manage annual budgets, financial plans, and rolling forecasts.
• Monitor key financial metrics (ROA, NIM, CAR, etc.) and operational KPIs.
• Support strategic decisions through financial modelling and scenario analysis.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines applicable to NBFCs, Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and rating agencies for inspections, audits, and reviews.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NBFC-specific regulatory changes.

Internal Controls & Audit

• Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Implement systems for early detection and mitigation of financial risks.

Taxation & Compliance Filings

• Oversee direct and indirect tax planning, filings, and assessments.
• Ensure accuracy in TDS, GST, and income tax compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  Chartered Accountant (CA) required.

• Experience:

  8-15 years in finance and accounts, with at least 35 years in a leadership or controller role within an NBFC or financial institution.

• Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of Ind AS, RBI regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
