We are looking for a finance associate who will play a key role in supporting the financial health and compliance of the organization. This role involves managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, assisting with donor/grant reporting, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to strengthening financial processes in alignment with our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Accounting

Record day-to-day financial transactions, including payments, receipts, invoices, and reimbursements.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books).

Process payroll and employee reimbursements in keka in coordination with HR.

Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking.
Budgeting & Reporting

Support the preparation of organizational and project budgets.

Monitor expenditure against budgets and flag variances.

Prepare MIS for management and donors.

Assist in generating donation receipts and compliance with donor requirements.
Compliance & Audit

Ensure timely filing of statutory returns (GST, TDS, PF, etc.)

Support annual statutory audits and donor-specific audits by providing necessary documentation.

Ensure compliance with Income Tax Act, and other applicable financial regulations for non-profits.
Process Improvement & Collaboration

Work closely with program teams to ensure timely expense documentation and compliance.

Suggest and implement improvements in financial processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all financial dealings.
Skills required:

Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field

2 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit or social sector organization.

Working knowledge of accounting standards applicable to non-profits.

Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.

Knowledge of statutory compliances (FCRA, GST, TDS, PF, Income Tax) preferred.

High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and personal integrity in managing sensitive financial data.
