Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer with hands-on experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analyzers, as well as other Environmental and Pharma instruments. This role involves executing Preventive Maintenance (PM), Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), calibration, and technical support for a wide range of analytical instruments used in pharma, biotech, and environmental monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform PM, AMC, calibration, and validation of TOC analyzers (Online/Offline) used in water quality monitoring.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software issues in TOC systems and other instruments such as RTU, TSS, pH meters, particle counters, air samplers, and LPCs.
  • Interpret analytical data and ensure TOC systems meet 21 CFR Part 11 and pharma regulatory compliance.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, ensuring minimal instrument downtime.
  • Document all service activities accurately and maintain service logs as per company standards.
  • Coordinate with application and sales teams for installation and commissioning of instruments.
  • Conduct basic end-user training on TOC operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

Education:

B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, or equivalent engineering discipline.

Experience:

1–3 years of experience servicing TOC analyzers and related pharma/environmental instruments is preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Hands-on experience with TOC analyzers (preferably brands like Shimadzu, GE Sievers, Analytik Jena, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of TOC principles: UV oxidation, conductivity detection, NDIR detection, etc.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with pharma cleanroom protocols and GMP documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site service support.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Timely completion of TOC system AMC/PM/Calibration activities.
  • High First-Time Fix Rate (FTFR) for TOC and other instruments.
  • Customer satisfaction ratings and feedback.
  • Compliance with service documentation and regulatory standards.
  • Responsiveness to breakdown calls and adherence to SLA timelines.
