Field Development Assistant

Job Summary:

The Microfinance Loan Officer is responsible for managing and growing the loan portfolio by assessing, approving, and monitoring loans for clients within the microfinance sector. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their financial needs and ensuring they receive appropriate financial services while adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Engagement:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and offer suitable loan products.
• Conduct detailed interviews and site visits to assess clients' creditworthiness and business viability.

2. Loan Processing:

• Assist clients in completing loan applications and gather required documentation.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessment to determine loan eligibility.
• Process loan applications, perform credit checks, and make recommendations for approval or denial.

3. Loan Management:

• Monitor the performance of loan accounts, ensuring timely repayments and adherence to terms.
• Provide financial advice and support to clients to help them manage their loans effectively.
• Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to loan repayment and account management.

4. Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of loan transactions and client interactions.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on loan performance, portfolio status, and client feedback.

5. Market Development:

• Identify potential clients and opportunities for expanding the loan portfolio.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
• Participate in community outreach and financial literacy programs to promote microfinance services.
