Field Application Scientist

You will be working at MGI, a subsidiary of BGI Group, which focuses on developing core tools and technology for life science through intelligent innovation. As a Field Application Scientist (FAS), your role involves providing applications support to MGI's customers in the assigned territory, collaborating with sales/marketing teams to implement business strategies, and contributing to customer training and troubleshooting. Your responsibilities as an FAS include: - Coordinating and conducting customer training on MGI products and assays - Troubleshooting issues related to experimental design, data processing, software operation, sample preparation, and chemical reaction - Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers - Supporting sales efforts through technical presentations and customer management - Providing customer feedback to marketing and product development teams - Sharing experience, knowledge, and skills with peers and mentoring new hires To be successful in this role, you should have: - A Master's degree or above in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Bioinformatics - Prior experience or background in sequencing, such as library preparation or sequencer operation - Willingness to travel within the appointed region and occasionally internationally - Previous field experience in technical customer support - Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in English communication, training, and presentation skills - Experience working in an international company and with biomedical instrumentation or technology At MGI, employees are valued as partners in a transparent, fair, and friendly environment.
