Field Application Scientist

As a Field Application Specialist (FAS) at MGI, your role involves providing applications support to customers in your assigned territory. Your key responsibilities will include: - Conducting customer training on MGI products and assays - Troubleshooting issues related to experimental design, data processing, software operation, sample preparation, and chemical reactions - Developing positive relationships with customers - Supporting sales efforts through technical presentations and customer management - Sharing customer feedback with marketing and product development teams - Mentoring new hires and contributing to peer development To be successful in this role, you should have: - A Master's degree or above in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Bioinformatics - Experience in sequencing or related work such as library preparation or sequencer operation - Willingness to travel within the appointed region and occasionally internationally - Prior experience in supporting customers in a technical field - Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills - Excellent English communication and presentation skills - Ability to learn quickly and experience in biomedical instrumentation or technology MGI values its employees and fosters a transparent, fair, and friendly work environment.
