Job Description

The role of FIC Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) AVP in Mumbai involves supporting the Business Control Unit (BCU) as part of the 1st Line of Defence function. The candidate will primarily focus on the Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) process, a crucial element of the Banks Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Framework. Responsibilities include control testing, incident research, remediation, and collaborating with various teams to understand dynamic risks impacting the group. The BCU team's key responsibilities encompass identifying and mitigating non-financial risks, supporting supervisory and conduct frameworks, ensuring governance and remediation of business audit portfolios, and driving initiatives for the control framework. The role involves close collaboration with business heads, Corporate Relationship Management, Divisional Control Officers, Compliance, Anti Financial Crime (AFC), Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM), Legal, Group Audit, and other functions forming the 2nd and 3rd Line of Defence. Key responsibilities for the candidate include collating and analyzing contextual data for Risk Profile assessment, updating risk ratings, coordinating Anti-Financial Crime and Compliance risk assessments, participating in RCA workshops, supporting Non-Financial Risk Councils, maintaining control inventory, managing Front Office Operational Risk Framework, providing senior management reporting, and handling ad-hoc tasks as needed. The ideal candidate should hold an MBA in Finance from a premier institution with relevant banking domain experience in regulatory projects and operational risk management. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively in a global team. Proficiency in data management, Excel, PowerPoint, analytical skills, and challenging existing practices is essential.
