Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Commercial Operations for the APAC Region, specifically supporting the countries of Taiwan and India. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations Asia, the Senior Manager of Commercial Operations will collaborate with a team responsible for establishing, coordinating, and supporting APAC direct commercialization strategies, scaling key sales roles and their standards of excellence, developing Global customer reference sites, and working directly with the General Managers on strategic projects and local sales initiatives that help the region meet and exceed their goals.
This team s primary responsibility involves identifying and deploying ISI resources that can impact the goals of specific business units by working closely with the market General Managers on strategic planning, goal alignment, team training, field execution and the achievement of quarterly and annual performance expectations.
The position requires leadership capabilities that include expert-level knowledge of the Intuitive Ecosystem, a deep understanding of our commercial standards of excellence and cross functional ways of working, the ability to inspire and influence across diverse markets and a strong track record in developing high performance sales teams. The Senior Manager of Commercial Operations is expected to provide an extraordinary degree of information gathering, communication, and leadership while presenting to customers, executives, commercial Leaders, managers, and representatives. Applicants must live in the Asia region, preferably in India or Taiwan.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Commercial Excellence Scalability
- Coach and train individual and leadership expectations and cross functional ways of working.
- Teach and measure region wide competency and efficiency by role, activity, and market maturity to ensure fundamental sales skills are scaled across all markets.
- Collaborate with the commercial learning team on the creation and delivery of sales training content for the on-boarding of new hires, sales skill training courses and new leadership development programs
- Develop and foster the understanding and adoption of ISI culture in all markets
- Cross Functional Management of Commercial Strategies
- Work with APAC General Managers and sales leadership to prepare and execute go-to-market procedure, product and digital portfolio launch excellence.
- Work with the local and regional leadership teams to develop quarterly milestones that when executed helps the team to achieve their annual performance expectations.
- Work closely with various corporate business units and enabling functions to align and implement new strategies and/or programs prioritized by regional and market leadership
- Assist APAC senior sales leadership with training and coaching clinical, specialty, capital, and key account sales activities while in the field.
- Identify and assist the market teams in developing incremental hospital, surgeon and care team key opinion leaders that can become global reference sites showcasing the value of our systems, learning and service offerings.
- Teach the sales teams to effectively manage and incorporate sales metrics to drive da Vinci program expansion and growth
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of medical sales and marketing experience with a knowledge of the operating room environment
- 5+ years of commercial leadership or management experience
- Understands how to successfully implement clinical and capital sales processes
- Clear ability to work effectively across various functions and business units
- Proven ability to inspire and influence across diverse teams and cultures
- Considerable expertise presenting and defending evidence with internal and external C-Suite decision makers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with Asia markets preferred
- Extensive Asia travel required (50+%)
- Minimum BS/BA Degree required
- Master s Degree Preferred
